The mountains around this property are naturally home to some amazing creatures, including deer, foxes, bears, birds, stinkbugs, and ladybugs. Ladybugs, in particular, may seek shelter closer to their homes during the winter season, while black bears are spotted particularly from March to October. It is incredible for those who love to nature-watch from afar, but may be a bit of a surprise that is not for everyone.
Keep a safe distance, and do not approach wildlife. Avoid leaving food outside without storage (including residue in grills or fires), secure all garbage, and keep doors and windows closed when not in use.
Rest assured, we regularly treat the cabin to keep pests under control while using safe and eco-friendly methods.
The swim spa and hot tub at this location is serviced every week, scheduled for Mondays.
The mountain roads in the area may have unexpected sharp curves, steep hills, and winding sections. There is also a steep (paved) hill coming into the property. Driving carefully and preparing for different weather conditions is recommended.
If you are planning a stay with us during the winter months, we strongly recommend arriving in a 4WD vehicle, as roads leading to the property may be icy during this time. Ensuring your vehicle is equipped to handle winter conditions and driving carefully will help make your arrival as smooth and safe as possible.
Always keep your phone charged and have a flashlight, water, snacks/food, and warm clothes in your cabin and vehicle. During winter, there is salt at the front door; please use as you see necessary.
This home follows a strict maximum occupancy rule. Please make sure that the total number of guests accompanying you (including both children and adults) doesn’t exceed the indicated maximum occupancy above to avoid cancellation of your stay and additional fees. No unaccounted or unexpected guests are allowed to stay at the property.
This is a pet-free hypoallergenic space. No pets are allowed inside the home to maintain a hypoallergenic area as much as possible for our guests’ comfort.
